Isata Kanneh

Teacher

Isata is 27, she has worked at OAKS for 4 years.

Isata is the class teacher for Class 1 and she is also responsible for Home Economics throughout the school from Class 4 through to Junior Secondary.

She has had one other job before coming to OAKS, working at a Junior/Senior Secondary School teaching Home Economics.  Her qualifications are TC/HTC Teaching Certificate and Higher Teaching Certificate.

Despite being Secondary trained Isata loves being in charge of Class 1 she has a real affinity with the younger children, creating a calm and purposeful environment.

Isata lives within easy walking distance of OAKS, she has a daughter now at OAKS in Class 1.

Isata now also has charge of 6 treadle sewing machines, shipped from the UK, December 2016.  She is extremely keen to teach her pupils this very useful skill.
